Space permitting, late registrations may be accommodated through 5pm Monday December 2, 2024. Note we make no warranty that late registration will be available for any event. Late registrations shall require both a Late Fee of $25 AND a refundable registration deposit of $25. Registration deposits are refunded within three business days as long as the registrant attends the meeting.
If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please email [email protected] so that someone from the waiting list may attend. Cancellations must be made by 5PM 7 calendar days prior to the date of the event. Cancellations made after this point (and no shows) will not be issued back the $25 deposit.

Not Just Crypto: Estate Planning for Digital Assets
This presentation explores the growing importance of digital assets in estate planning. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of what constitutes a digital asset—extending beyond cryptocurrency to include email and online accounts, online banking, domain names, and more. Attendees will learn strategies to identify and discover these assets for clients, as well as techniques for facilitating advance planning to protect them. Additionally, the session will address the ethical considerations attorneys must navigate when dealing with access to private digital assets, confidentiality, and fiduciary responsibilities in the digital realm.
Learning Objectives: Participants will develop an understanding of the evolving landscape of digital assets in estate planning, including their types, value, and significance. They will explore methods to identify and locate digital assets. Participants will learn about legal and ethical considerations, including privacy, security, and fiduciary responsibilities, and the tools and strategies available for ensuring the proper transfer and protection of digital assets in estate plans.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to explain what a digital asset is, identify and discover digital assets for their clients, and facilitate advance planning options for digital assets.
Richard Zack

Richard Zack is the Founder and CEO of Eternal Me, an enterprise web platform that makes it easier to plan and administer digital estates. With over two decades of leadership experience, Richard is recognized as a global Internet and technology leader. Prior to Eternal Me, he served as Vice President at Canonical, leading global service teams for Ubuntu Linux. His entrepreneurial journey began at 14 when he founded one of Ohio’s first Internet Service Providers. Richard later founded Pantek, a global leader in Linux and Open Source software, serving clients in 35 countries. He also launched Our.News, which partnered with Facebook and RPI to develop technology combating misinformation online. Richard’s expertise spans finance, software, media, and telecom, and he’s been featured in ComputerWorld, USA Today, TechCrunch, and more. He has spoken at major events like SXSW, the NAB Show, and universities including RPI. Outside of work, he's a father, husband, startup advisor, and music lover.
